I have been waiting for this day for so long! Today is the day I finally get to share the interview I did with my lifelong friend, Jeremy Varner. I have known Jeremy since he was born (a mere 6 months after me) and I am SO excited for you guys to get to know him a little bit through this episode of Eat. Sleep. Create.

Jeremy is from Abilene, TX butafter a quick stop (a few years) in Atlanta, Georgia, is currently living his dreams in NYC. After studying musical theater and acting performance at Abilene Christian University Jeremy took his talents to Atlanta where he spent time performing and teaching his craft to as many people as possible. After Atlanta he packed his bags again and headed to NYC, finally fulfilling that dream. In NYC Jeremy is focusing on performing, writing and producing while also working a mere five jobs on the side. I don't want to give away any more details so you'll have to listen to find out more about him and what he's up to!

In this episode Jeremy and I get into the real life struggles of finding community, making sacrifices, questioning your passions, juggling multiple jobs, getting perspective on your own work and more. We chat about what it's like to be living your lifelong dream, the importance of just finishing your work and the hard truth that you don't have to be a starving artist.

I hope you love this episode as much as I do. Jeremy drops some amazing truth bombs all throughout the episode so be sure to listen until the end!

hop on over to soundcloud and give it a listen!

"you can't make something better until you finish it."

"if you have to stop before something's good, when are you going to get better?"

"someone who works hard will always do better than talent that hardly works."

"as an artist you can't be afraid to lean into the fact that if you're trying to create a business off of your art you've got to be smart financially."

follow along with Jeremy!
